Have you ever done anything to try to make a difference? Or do you just sit around and lament your powerlessness. Nothing changes because most people don't give a shit. They sit back and do nothing but complain about how nothing changes. Imagine if you channeled some of your anger or energy into an issue that did matter to you.

Are you gonna get the federal death penalty overturned (if that is your preference), or will you be personally able to get the tax code changed to your benefit? Most likely not. But perhaps there's something in your state or town of interest to you -- get involved at the local level. You never know where it will lead.

Besides, you don't think things might be different had a few hundred people in Florida figured out how to punch a chad, or if a few hundred people had voted so that these hanging chads made no difference in the outcome?

How many people have died so that you have the right to vote or not vote? The least you can do is honor their memory and exercise your constitutionally guaranteed right.
