This movie is utterly offensive, and anyone who would recommnd such utter crap needs their head examined. It's a sick, cruel, and worthless hunk of shit. I'd rather recommend "The Hottie & The Nottie" or "Blond Ambition" or Lindsay Lohan's last movie before this film, those are probably awful, but don't sink to the all time disgusting low that "Gummo" does.

Sorry, I kind of went off on the film. Knowing where it takes place, and having tried to watch it, only to turn it off 20 minutes in. What I saw, rubbed me the wrong way. It just irritated me, cause I couldn't get around how it tried to be realistic yet so cruel and ugly and ultimately boring and pointless. The movie is about a kid that is basically a juvenile delinquint and wrecks havoc in the small town. He kills cats and sells them to some guy. For a movie to portray an 8 year old in that manner is inexcusible and disgusting. "Gummo" is basically a great training video on how to train your kid to be the next Columbine shooter or David Berkowitz. The world doesn't need schlock like that.
