Couple of My Friends was Let Go Today

I just want to say that in my job, few of my friends were let go today at Citigroup. The reason that they were let go is that the company stock market went down to zero according to other people in Citigroup. People whom been there many years, get a package from the company. Then they go for retirement or collect unemployment. I was a hard day for us and the supervisor who we been working with. I had to work through lunch hour cuz they had let go several people in the company.

I remembered many years that I’ve been to a situation like this before. Belief me, I had to search for a job in school, unemployment service, internet, adds, and etc… In January 6, 1987; I was laid off in Citronics cuz the electronic parts for telephone company had failed. So they let go couple of people including me. They call back other except me because my performance with the company was not great. My boss was not happy with my job. He was mean and did not care for me and other if we get harass by a supervisor or employee. So I went to the next job.

I was hired on May 18, 1987 in Axel’s Electronics in the filter capacitor area. I had a mean boss who wasn’t getting along with me. Plus I had one of the group leader and other employees who wasn’t getting along with me. I work there three years. In September 21, 1990: I was laid off with Axel’s Electronics. The reason I was laid off was that the company had loss money and the stock market went down to 50%. So they had to laid off couple of employees including me. With in a year, I was never called because based on my performance with the company was not great and they need somebody who can do a better job. So I had to try to look for a better opportunity and look for a better job.

I was hired as a casual (temp) with the US Postal Office for 270 days. But my contract was that time. Then I started with Millennium Group in 1999 and ended my service in 2002. In March 10, 2003: I was hired with Adecco to work with Smith Barney (Citigroup) for two years and then I got hired in May 2, 2005 with Citigroup. Right now, I am doing good with the company. Now that Citigroup might lay off people in March, this year. If I get chosen for a lay off, then I know what to do.

I just remembered the p-f girls was let go for several reasons and we miss them. As Seanna says, “All the good thing must come to an end”.

If they lay you off you should say this.

"You can't lay me off! I'm the king of rock, dammit! The only reason your stock went down. Is because the federal reserve printed money they didn't have causing the value of the dollar to plummet! I didn't have anything to do with this! Citigroup? More like Shitigroup!!!"

You can always go into construction.

The pay isn't as nice, but it is less stressful, you get exercise and sun. And you have more free time!
