Default Christmas makes me sick!!!
I am sick of all the gimme gimme every year and I have decided to do something different this year. I would like help from as many of you as possible. I know you all have a little bit of money to spare this year, so I am asking you to make some kind of donation to help me out in buying gifts for people less fortunate. So far, only one person has been kind enough to help out. This makes me not only sick, but sad. I want to be able to buy gifts for a bunch of people, not just 1 or two. If you guys would be so kind as to make a donation to help me out, I will keep you updated on the status of my project as the holidays get closer. Every year my gf and I do two things. One, we dedicate an entire shopping trip for buying things for a local food bank. Last year we spent $750 on food.

Second, we join my hospital's Adopt-A-Family program. You get assigned to a family that's EI or something similar, and buy their gifts for them. Things like clothing, necessary appliances, food...things they need.

We do the Angel Tree from the Salvation Army. That's a good program if anyone is looking for a way to help others at Christmas.

I understand your feelings. But the children that receive the presents don't know anything about the politics, they just know that they have new toys and clothes. Toys and clothes that they wouldn't have if I didn't participate. I couldn't turn my back on that if I wanted to.

well i'm going to be keeping track of how much money i raise and once i start buying the gifts i am going to shoot pics of what i purchase and show everyone what's going on... so far i don't have much to work with
