Always remember, "Please consult your doctor is you have an erection lasting more than four hours."
Oh... isn't that what you meant by "up"?

I remember once in the Army on a field exercise, I was up for basically four days straight, I was on an OP for 12 hours one night where I was literally lying in a pool of water full of cow shit. I nearly froze to death. When we got back to the barracks, people in formation were literally just falling over flat on their faces they were so exhausted. I was essentially asleep on my feet by that point.
There's nothing like random firefights, ambushes and explosions to keep you alert.

If I recall correctly, it was somewhere in the vicinity of 60 hours.
To be honest, I don't remember too much of that third day. Afterwards, I slept for 15 hours - I remember that, because it's the longest I've ever slept in my adult life.

let's see --- I think it was when I was a senior in high school.
I had gone to a party/sleepover one saturday night at the home of some camp friends a couple of towns over from my own. I was scheduled to work sunday morning at 6 am (I worked in a bagel store). By the time the evening ended, it was like 4 am, so I decided to just stay awake and go right to work. I don't remember if I went to sleep after my shift, which ended at noon. So, it was at least 26 or 27 hours and may have been as many as 36 depending on when I crashed after I got home.
