Vacation

As many of you know I got on a vacation about once a month, figure I better see the world now, before getting old and having kids. I'm trying to decided where to go for winter break? Maybe Costa Rica? London?
Whats the best place you guys have even been?

Go to the Virgin Islands..beautiful there.

I imagine it would depend on the main purpose of your trip.

For example, if you're looking for fun in the sun, obviously, London in winter time isn't gonna be a good idea.

Conversely, if you want sightseeing and touring, then most Caribbean islands won't have enough to offer.

One suggestion -- wherever you end up going -- book airfare NOW. Tickets are expensive and probably only going up as x-mas approaches.

Personally, you like in the place I liked best, vacation-wise.

However, again, it depends on your intent. I really want to go to Italy, Greece, England, see some history.

But for winter, you're looking someplace tropical. I can't help you there, as the most tropical place I've been to is Florida.

Go to Panama, better yet lemme come with ya Ashlee I'll be your guide. I know some great restaurants there. Or Turkey, I know some neat places there too.

I guess I should answer the question as posted.

My favorite places I've visited so far are Hawaii and London (although I was there for only 2 days)

There are a couple of other places I really like, but I don't think you'd want to vacation there -- las vegas and scottsdale :1orglaugh:

Unless it's St. Thomas. Or New Zealand.

Sometimes vacationing close to home or in your area is nice too. Let's you see the city from a different perspective. It's really only best if you live in a rich historical and interesting city or near places that are like that.

In South Carolina, my family would take day trips to Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, even Savannah, Georgia. Then once we went to NC for some family, and also did a weekend up in the northwestern part of SC near the Georgia/NC/Tennessee border. You could be in 4 states in one day.

I've been to Hawaii a few times... I'm really thinking i want to go to Costa Rica, actually i want to go to Brazil but winter break is to short for that
